Women's parts come in a broad variety of configurations. Unless any of your biological functions are inhibited (in which case you should consult a doctor), I am sure your unique configuration is perfectly normal, and nothing to worry about.

The gene: Sonic Hedgehog is responsible for places where the skin STOPS growing... specificaly at the mouth/face/nose and the anus/penis/vagina. Yours is different than your friend's because you are not identical twins. I have yet to see two women who are identical down there. This doesn't make you strange. Some men prefer large inner labia. Both of your labias (labia?) are normal. It's like faces... you and your friend don't have the same exact face, I'd imagine, unless you're long lost identical twins or something. Your labia is perfectly fine, don't worry about it. :P
