Well, it should be allowed because there are over 1000 rights that come with it, granted currently only to heterosexual couples: rights like visiting your partner in the hospital when they're very sick, or filing joint taxes when you maintain joint accounts as a couple or are supporting kids. It also should be allowed because it's a step in the right direction of acceptance of LGBT people, which would help to eliminate hate crimes and discrimination. And it should be allowed because if a couple loves each other and wants to make a committment to each other, and wants this committment to be seen as equal, then they should be allowed to marry no matter if they are two men, two women, or a man and a woman.
