You have to learn to forgive yourself... Your son wouldn't want you to blame yourself. It really wasn't your fault. No one else blames you so you shouldn't either.

Janie I am so terribly, terribly sorry for your loss. There is probably nothing worse than losing ones child, it's a horrible tragedy. Honey, you have nothing to forgive yourself about. Had you been awake, your son would still have been killed. I am so sad for you. As a mom, I understand how you want to blame yourself for this. But you have to know, this was nothing that you could have prevented. God rest his soul. Sue
