I can't remember the name of the god that causes the sun to set, but the name translates to Light Bearer... Lucifer translates to Light Bearer So, no, not the same person, just the same name meaning...

Satan existed a long time before the Egyptians... Satan was the serpent in the garden of Eden... (Revelation 12:9) So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. THE ORIGINAL SERPENT...this can only refer to the ONE who lied to Eve... (Genesis 3:1-3) Now the serpent proved to be the most cautious of all the wild beasts of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it began to say to the woman: “Is it really so that God said YOU must not eat from every tree of the garden?” 2 At this the woman said to the serpent: “Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat. 3 But as for [eating] of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘YOU must not eat from it, no, YOU must not touch it that YOU do not die.’” Satan had taken on the aspect of a serpent... An ordinary serpent, like we have today, would not be discussing aspects of God. They are simply an animal.

The Hebrew "Devil" or "Satan" means the opponent or adversary, and the first great natural adversary recognised by primitive man was "Darkness"--the constant and eternal enemy of the "Light". That is, the the power of darkness was literal before it became metaphorical, moral, or spiritual. Hence, darkness itself was the earliest "devil" or adversary--the obstructor and deluder of man and the eternal enemy of the sun. But what has happened? Human mind has long suffered an eclipse, and been darkened and dwarfed in the shadow of strange ideas. Myths and allegories whose significance was once unfolded to the initiates in the ancient mysteries, were then adopted in ignorance and presented to us as real truths "divinely" vouchsafed to us for the first and only time when found in the Hebrew writings. A great deal of what has been imposed upon us as "God's direct true and sole revelation to man", is but a mass of [inverted myths] which can be traced centuries back before this thing called Christianity. The simple realities of the earliest times were expresed by signs and symbols and whatnot. But they have been taken and applied to later thought and converted into perplexing and bizarre theological conundrum for which our theologians have no basis whatsoever and can only wrangle profusely about it but cannot touch solid ground with one foot if they try to kick you with the other--metaphorically speaking that is. And when they try to bite you very viciously-- as you probably have seen it right here on AB--you realized that they have only been furnished with a set of false teeth. But the false pretentions of theological dogma is not difficult to expose.

Considering the story of jesus and the virgin birth is also largely copies from the Egyptians and various other cultures.. how can you logically believe any of that crap?

Satan, as perceived by the ancient Hebrews, has nothing to do with the Egyptian pantheon. Frankly, he doesn't have mmuch in commom with the Christian perception of Satan either. His name in Hebrew mewans the "adversary." He was/is perceived as basically being God's "prosecutor." All that other stuff comes much later, and is Christian in origin.
