They are the Suhuf Ibrahim (commonly the Scrolls of Abraham), the Tawrat (Torah), the Zabur (commonly the Psalms), the Injil (commonly the Gospel), and the Qur'an." There are an estimated five to six million Bahá'ís around the world in more than 200 countries and territories. Bahá'í teachings emphasize the underlying unity of the major world religions. Religious history is seen to have unfolded through a series of divine messengers, each of whom established a religion that was suited to the needs of the time and the capacity of the people. These messengers have included Abraham, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad and others, including most recently Bahá'u'lláh. In Bahá'í belief, each messenger taught of the next, and Bahá'u'lláh's life and teachings fulfill the end-time promises of previous scriptures. Humanity is understood to be involved in a process of collective evolution, and the need of the present time is for the gradual establishment of peace, justice and unity on a global scale." The book is believed by LDS adherents to be a true record of God's dealings with three of the civilizations in the Americas from approximately 2700 BC through 420 AD, written by their prophets and followers of Jesus Christ. The book records the teachings of Jesus Christ to the people in the Americas as well as Christ's personal ministry among the people of Nephi after his resurrection. Mormons believe the Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ, "holy scripture comparable to the Bible". (Mormons "believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly.") According to the text of the book itself, Mormon was a prophet who abridged the record during the 4th century." Islam makes the same claims and yet Mormons do not regard the Qur'an or Islamic doctrine as being divinely inspired." http://www.4truth.net/site/c.hiKXLbPNLrF/b.1002753/k.795A/Chapter_5__Mormon_Evidences.htm )

  • The Bible is the ONLY book that is God-breathed. "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; " -2 Timothy 3:16 "But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. " -2 Peter 1:20-21
  • Book of Mormon. By the same standard.
  • I'll ignore the fact that there are far older books that people claim are from God and keep it in the same family....sorta. The Genzā Rabbā is a book used by Mandaeans, who consider John the Baptist their key prophet. They are typically grouped in with Gnostics, although they would be closer to Jewish Gnostics than Christian ones.
  • Only the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God. Romans 15:4 "For all the things that were writen aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope." Other books written by uninspired writers are of no benefit. 1 Corinthians 1:21,"For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not get to know God, God saw good through the foolishness of what is preached to save those believing."
  • The Torah and the Bible are one book. The Christian faith includes the New Testament with the Old Testament (Torah). The Bible is the Word of God - it is God-breathed and every word was inspired by God. The Word of God is also Jesus. Jesus is the Word. The Torah/Bible Gnesis 1:26 says "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness..." OUR - God - one God - referred to Himself in plural because God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one God. The New Testament John1:1-5 explains Jesus existing as part of GOD before he manifested himself as a man in order to be able to die and rise as a perfect sacrifice for sin in order to redeem us because he loves us so much "1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it." The Quran also speaks of GOD's son Jesus/Isa.
  • God gave the inspiration for the Bible. The others are not inspired by God.
