You're reading What do you think of Ryan Air's plan to have passengers carry their own baggage to the plane?
Comments
The US navy has a training plane with 12 copy flight decks, which receive all the information sent to the real one, and have all the controls playing into a recorder. They claimed that when they sat 12 non-flyers in the seats, and averaged all their inputs together, the result was as good as a moderately competent pilot. So you don't pick the passengers to fly the plane - they all do it. Don't go on a flight with a load of teenage boys.

Lol. Flight by committee?
"If you're seated in rows 10-15, please note the control sticks and steering column. Instead of the flight safety video, there will be a brief introduction to the theory of flight.
We regret that passengers tasked with the piloting responsibility cannot be served alcoholic beverages due to safety regulations."
