Even though Vista had its compatibility issues among other annoyances, if you bought it, then it's kind of your own fault. Many gamers stuck with XP because they already knew of these problems. It was a revolutionary OS in some ways, it just wasn't perfect. The bottom line is, Windows 7 is awesome (using it as we speak) and it is cheaper to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 than it is to buy it whole again, so if you were too impatient to wait until things got better, you have no one to blame but yourself. Also, in this economic downfall where everything is becoming cheaper and cheaper to get consumers to BUY stuff, how can you complain about buying an operating system that Microsoft took so much time to develop to meet consumer standards and be as hassle-free as possible? Microsoft didn't make a mistake, they just introduced you to the future, and though Vista was a full release, it was no different than being the guy who always downloads the alpha/beta versions of programs to stay ahead of the game. If you want to go over to Apple and pay out the ass for Apple(tm) products that only work with their Apple(tm) software, be my guest. If you want a more limited functionality you can also go over to Linux. I gamed on XP until the release candidate of W7 came out, did you?...
