They should,rent is regulated.In my apartment the owner cannot raise the rent more than 5% per year.Greed is much different than free enterprise when it affects peoples lives to the extent it does.Who else will protect the public from unscrupulous business practices of artificially inflating the price of gas for maximum profits.It sure does not help the economy.

OPEC= Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries= 12 countries that OWN our gas does, AND WE AREN'T of the 12..they set those prices, we have no CONTROL...if we produced our own...then we could regulate...i know,i know, u think all the oil men here own the oil ...ha, ha,...the oil here is mostly in GOVERNMENT FEDERAL RESERVES...that they don't allow us to use and would'NOT' GIVE IT TO US CHEAP ANYWAY...the oil men here DRILL MOSTLY for foreign companies....they don't own the oil they use RIGS to get it out with...the country does... the Kennedy family alone owns loads of oil shares,stocks...they would not give us a break if they could... because they can't....OPEC regulates with 'price per barrel'...this includes getting it, producing it, paying salaries, shipping and handling....plus a big PROFIT for them.:) most of the stations where u buy your gas is owned by foreign oil co.'s...some are owned by the oil guys here....but if the oil guys here gave us breaks , they'd FOLD...it is not a cheap ,easy thing for oilfield workers to do...it is HARD and dangerous....buy from our guys instead of foreigners and OPEN UP WHERE WE CAN PRODUCE OUR OWN INSTEAD OF DEPENDING ON THESE !@ COUNTRIES>>>

OPEC is the organisation that regulates the oil we use for gasoline, and their regulation is actually what's making the prices go up.
