I always pay with cash, because my income is so low,it's quite laughable to credit card companies.Ha ha! It's always been the same for me my whole adult life.*+++++*

When I moved to my current home, I started using my debit card which I had never bothered to activate before. I used to just write a check, but I had been living in an area where debit cards were not used often. Here, everyone uses a debit card, and now, there are reward points for purchases. I do indicate that my purchases are a credit to my card and not a debit. That way, I don't incur any kind of charges ever.

I used to have a fancy debit/credit card and eat out every night, or just go to the gas station when I wanted munchies. Then I moved to Portland, OR, and tossed my card and shopped at farmers markets twice a month on cash. You don't have to worry about being overdrawn on cash.
-
Debit card. I did not pay for groceries this way before debit cards existed. :)
-
I always pay with my credit card, and have for many years. :)
-
Cash.

I seldom ever go to the grocery store. I have some farmers that trade food for using some of my land. They deliver and make sure I have all I want and need. When I do go it is for items like soda or coffee. which I do not need very often. I usually just pay cash.

Well when I used to work at the grocery store...we would get about 300-400 worth of stuff and always pay cash. I never ever ever had a debit, credit, or a checkin account. But recently about 3 months ago, my husband got laid off (aircraft)...and I quit my job previous to that...sooooo...He gets unemployment, and we now have a debit card...so...now we sometimes pay debit. I still like CASH though, everything cash. I like knowing what I have, when I have it...and I HAVE IT. No credit card crap, or somebody stealin my checks.
-
Discover card. I pay it off monthly and they do all the budget stuff for free plus I accrue bonus points.
-
Debit card usually. I hate cas because i hate geting change, especially coins, i dont use credit cards because its a waste of credit, and i dont use checks because 99% of grocery stores dont take them any more, plus they really hold up the line.
-
We always pay with a debit card. When I first started doing my own grocery shopping I used to pay with a check because debit cards weren't in existence then.
-

Cash. I don't have any cards, so that's my only option!
-
Cash. I have always used cash. People just do not realize how much using Debit or credit raises the cost of everything we buy. Using debit/credit cards cost every store money everytime time a card is swiped. Believe me the stores don't just eat that cost. The price of something was raised to cover that cost.
-
Debit card & as far as I can remember, I've always used debit cards....!
