It happens a lot, especially in college towns. Ames, Iowa is a typical place this happens. No one should hang out around the tracks.....you make me nervous.

Unfortunately, I know a lady who did just that...but she was dying of cancer and it was her chosen end.

These people are ill. Normal people do not act in such a manner. These people have mental or physical issues and no longer care to live. They need help not our condemnation. Unfortunately, in many instances help never comes or is too late.

I don't think a stupid person would muster enough courage to die that way. No matter how dumb a person is they always have the basic instincts to stay alive. They must have had a serious mental illness or perhaps they were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

One should always avoid walking trains. They are the most dangerous.

A Chicago Police Officer died a few years ago while he and his partner were searching the tracks for shell casings following a shooting. They both got off the tracks but apparently he did not get far enough out of the way because we were told the speed of the train "sucked him under" it. What a horrible way to die!

Someone who is either deaf and blind or whose brain has been fried by drugs and/or too much alcohol. Or just one of the many idiots we see everyday who re-confirm my belief in "SURVIVAL OF THE SMARTEST ONLY". The dumbest get culled out through evolutionary biology! Lol.
