I bought a take-out breakfast this morning, brought my own refillable coffee cup and put it on the counter to be filled. The cashier asked me what size coffee I wanted then filled a paper cup with coffee and gave it to me. Am I wrong to be annoyed?

You are experiencing ignorance. It is annoying, but don't let is worry you, you don't have to go there again, because you can take you environmentalism to the till, if they keep wasting resources there will be no paper or coffee and change will have to happen quicker. They cannot make money without customers or product.

LOL, some people are daft Grandma Rose. Did you SAY 'Fill this cup with coffee'? I go in the grocery stores with my reusable bags, and i have to grab the groceries away from them and put it in my bag....they dont take the 6 cloth bags as a damn hint.

It's not that you're really annoyed, but shocked that you're actually being asked that question, and stunned because you see the answer is so obviously right there in front of you !!! If you want to watch something really sad, ask a teenager to count the change back to you !!! OMG!!!

You can be annoyed, just not at the clerk or cashier. They are only following the company's policies, as they are required to do in their job description. If you want to express your feelings, ask to speak to the manager, and get the name of the company president. Write a letter detailing the reasons for your dissatisfaction. Always go to the top; the clerk or cashier will be powerless to change policy.
