why did you put this in the category of Christian religions? can you tell me where you have seen them perform animal sacrifices? Why is it that Christians no longer perform animal sacrifices as they are commanded to?

WHEN animals are sacrificed in certain Muslim religious ceremonies the meat is given to the poor. Just because you have some faceless slaughterer doing your animal killing for you and just because you get your meat all nicely cut up and packaged at the grocer doesn't make you any less "barbaric." At least they're showing reverence. And by the way, I know that some Armenian Christians practice animal sacrifice for certain occasions. Even in the U.S. You know Armenia, yes? Oldest official Christians in the world? And that whole kosher meat thing? It's basically ritual slaughter.

I dont know enough about either religion to make informed comments, but your question sounds horribly narrow minded and idiotic to me. My counter would simply be "why does any religion think it has the absolute solution and criticise other religions?".

To give the poor and the nighbour ...etc. in Eid AlAdha (1/3) of the sucrifice is for the poor.
