It can be very, very effective at making you feel superior and at making the customer feel stupid. They may feel that it's very stupid to do business with you.

customer service is just that, serving the needs of the customer. don't explain to me why you can not relate to/fix my problem, just tell me what you can do to help resolve my issue.
