Nope, never. I rate answers to questions judging by their content, not because of the fact that I want top spot. What satisfaction does that give you?
-
No, I don't really care. I've never put much thought into it. I only enjoy answering and rating. If they deserve to be rated up, then I rate them up.
-
It has never even crossed my mind.
-
No. In fact, when I submit a halfway serious answer to a question, I make a point of it to rate up most of the other serious answers while I'm on the page. Because the fact that I answered the question doesn't make them bad answers, and if my answer still takes the top spot, despite most of the other contenders getting six extra points, then I can be completly confident in it.
-
I resemble that remark. But seriously, I just got here, so I'm going to keep a low profile.
-
I can't say that I've even thought about that. Top spot doesn't really indicate anything except maybe that you were one of the first to answer. I'm not stingy with points.
-
I have often given ratings to answers that put them above my own answer. Answerbag is supposed to be about information, not points.
-
No I haven't mum! I rate answers for what they are, answers.
-
I hadnt thought about it. A good answer is a good answer. Thats what this is all about, right?????
-
That thing can happen to me too .so why should i thing in such a way.Answerbag is way beyond ratings . its all about communicating with people from different parts of world and agreeing and disagreeing on some points.Ratings should not be made the prime objective here.
-
No, but great question! I do believe that some rate answers down in order to either take the "honor", or to move an answer they don't like out of it.
-
Honestly yes. But also honestly I ask myself if the answer in case is better than mine ;) Correct me if I'm wrong but I've seen a share of "overrated" answers and a lot has to do with a lot of answerbaggers focusing on the answerer and his rank and not on how good the answer is.

Honestly, Never.
