  • Yes. When I was under 6, my mother made the horrible mistake of getting me a baby chick for Easter. Two days later, it was dead. We kept it in a cardboard box (lined with fluffy towels) near the water heater in the "utility room." It was warm and totally physically comfortable there, but I think that it was just "too alone" to be happy, and just died, because it wasn't with its mother. It is a mistake for parents to give baby chicks as Easter presents every year, but thousands of Americans still do, just the same. Few ever make it to "adulthood." +5
  • No, I do understand the principal...get the fresh egg...when the chick steps out, he or she see ME and I become they mommy. friends for life.
  • Yes. I had a rooster and a hen. They're names were Annabell and Louis. We had lots of chickens but those 2 were the first. They were our pets. The other chickens were for eggs and lunch.
