You could do what everyone else does: Put her in trouble. Give her a personality; make her a certain type of person. Irritating and unlikable? A people pleaser? Make sure she is flawed. Give her some unexplained fears to boot. Fear of snakes? White buildings? Give her some mystery.

If among people that know her, each gives her differing info about who she is, what she believes, & what she has done-am I the type of person that would do this? If w/o identity & among strangers, I know how to shoot a gun-I know how to load a 45 automatic, how to clean it-am I the type of persson that would use it? And where does all this $ come from $10,000-hidden in a fake book in my backpack-& are these gems real!? The way she wonders & thinks about things reveal more than she realizes-thus we know more about her than she does.

Just that premise is interesting. She's sure to spend time looking for clues to who she was. Maybe some of those clues are ugly. Or scary. She may even decide it's safer not to know. At least until her previous life catches up with her. Old CW has the right idea. Put her up a tree, and start throwing rocks at her.
