I didn't laugh in this scenario, but I'm sure this is along the same lines: Once when I was in the tenth grade, we were informed that my history teacher was very ill and would not return for a considerable amount of time. I started to applaud, and my classmates starting saying stuff like, "that's cold!", and "that's so wrong!" All I could do was say, "So are the D's she puts on my tests!!!"
