You have to practice harder, but not just physically, mentally as well. If you want to improve, you must put every ounce of effort into practice, and practice as much as you possibly can. You also have to have the right frame of mind - you must be focused on what you are doing, but not necessarily thinking. You want to achieve the point where the moves become automatic. This takes tons of repetition, practice, even meditation. You should speak about this with your instructor. I'm sure s/he can give you some more advice, even change up your training routine to challenge you more.

Four months isn't that long. You're just _beginning_ to build muscle memory. Practice diligently and consistently. Also, be sure to have a goal for each practice session so you're not practicing whatever pops into your head. Say something like "today I'm going to work on my right cross and throw 200 of them perfectly". Then work on that, and only change once the task is done.
