How smart someone is and how much they know are two different things. Fifth graders come in varying degrees of intelligence.

I've seen that show and the questions were incredibly easy. For example, "what country has the longest border with the US?"

there are only 2 options, Mexico and Canada. Mexico's border goes from California to Texas, while Canada's border goes from Washington to Maine, plus Alaska.

Ah---Jeff Foxworthy will be asking that question in a possible new TV show.

But Howard Stern has already covered it.

I hope so, or my younger sister will soon be smarter than me and that would become a disadvantage in arguments.

Most of them. I hope most of them anyway. I haven't heard of any new, insane learning technology that is being used on elementary school students, so I assume that means I'm smarter than nearly all of them. Except for the child prodigies.

'Smarter' would have to be defined. Life experience is often the greatest teacher.

I'm not sure. I only have a 4th grader and a 7th grader in my house. So far so good. I'm still smarter than both of them, but don't test me on that. ;)

I certainly hope so. But I am sure there are some things a fifth grader knows that I have forgotten since I have been out of school for so long and their education is still fresh in their minds.

no, 5th graders are using computer technologies that were unheard of back in the day for myself.

5th graders are having sex with attractive teachers, I was never smart enough for that, still not.

5th graders know what time lunch is, and they get it for free. I work all day for my lunch, to want this definately not as smart if you compare the effort needed to compare to that of the 5th grader, therefore I lack this skill as well. shoulda kept mooching off mommy....

in summary, I have listed three examples as proof that I am not smarter than a 5th grader, using myself as the example. www.IamTHEsource.com

Smarts and knowledge are two different things. I may be more educated than a fifth grader - but they may be a genius and thus smarter than I :)

Yes, but I got a terrible memory. So when it came to questions of memory they probably would beat me. When it came to problem solving, I'd leave them in the dust.
