I found a beautiful bird's nest on the ground. I'd like to save it and maybe save it in a clear plastic box as an educational/art/decorative item. Should I treat it with something to help preserve it? If so, what?

Depending on what its made of, I would say a clear coat of polyurethane.

I know birds often have lice or other nasties growing on them, so you might want to make sure your preserving protocol involves a disinfecting step.
