  • Very early on when I met my s/o I wanted to ask her if she was interested in marriage. She spoke no english and my spanish was VERY limited. I pieced together a question using an english-spanish dictionary. I think she took it as a proposal at the time but it wasn't my intent. I just wanted to know if she was marriage minded. Hahaha!
  • I started the conversation by saying "will you marry me?" (She said "yes.")
  • Yes, my now husband and I were watching TV when an ad for diamond rings came on. I jokingly said, whatever you do, don't ever get me a diamond, I hate them. They are an expensive waste. I had a garnet ring by the end of the weekend.
  • well it depends, if its to talk about marrige then you might say somethin like "so i,ve been thinking lately and im having thoughts about spending my life with you" but if its proposing then you just bust out "will you marry me?" of course at the right time.
  • Right after she moved in with me, I asked her to marry me. We've had a commitment ceremony, but we're hoping we'll be able to legally marry very soon!
  • You mean a romantic interest? No, I never did. When the subject was brought up it was always the guy who brought it up. I'm from a different time my friend and we gals waited to be asked out, tried to act like ladies all the time and would never think of bringing up such a serious subject as marriage. I know it's quite different now but that was then and then was a long time ago! :)
  • You mean like "marry me, Baby," or "How long have you been married," or "are you divorced?" Or, something like that?
  • I asked her at a very tender moment. She said yes later.
