I think you mean pro-choice... For many that is very true. For others, while they may or may not see the feotus as a baby, a choice has to be made between the welfare of the mother and that of a child yet to come into the world - and they believe that the life of the mother must have priority. Others believe that the feotus is a baby but do not believe they have the right to push their own opinions on to other people. The pro-choice advocates are not a homogenous bunch, and people have a whole host of different reasons why they believe the woman should have the right to choose what to do for herself.

I think that if pro-life proponents truly believed fetuses were babies, they'd do a lot more to help them once they were born. But usually these are the same people who don't want to expand children's health insurance or support out-of-work families.
