I do, but only because I think it is funny, I love using words that aren't used by anyone else my age, especially "old man" terms like whipper snapper :)

I use it in Scrabble. The V and the X make it a good scoring word.

Yes, I use it from time to time, mostly ironically. I know of a few other people who use it that way also.
