When you play a sport, you should strive to do your best at all times. As a batter, it's my job to reach first base by any means possible. I'm sure the pitcher is giving 100% in his effort to get me out so I need to give 100% in my effort to reach first base. To do anything less is disrespectful to myself, my team, and the game. Purposefully taking a dive just so the pitcher can get a perfect game would be cheating. I'd much rather be know as the batter who broke up a perfect game than I would as the batter who made the last out.

I would do my best to hit the ball because I am super competitive and love doing the best I can do.

since a perfect game is history, in the making, I will do my best with my at bat. I will battle the pitcher till the end. and on the 10th pitch of my at bat I will stirke out. so there can be a perfect game.
