Because it feels good. Admit it! You think so too!
-
I do, even though my doctor's told me not to. Sometimes you just can't help it, it's gotta come out some way.
-
Yes, its one thing that gets the itchies. My dad use to put things like keys in his ears to clean them and I think I picked up that habit too.
-
I dont see how Q tips could harm someone's ear when used properly, besides that buildup of wax cant be healthy after a while.
-
How could you not when it feels so good :)
-
Where are you supposed to put them????
-
And you are suppose to put Q-tips in OTHER people's ears?
-
I do an I also run with sissors
-
Guilty. As soon as I get out of the shower, I reach for my Q-Tips. Yes, I've heard that it's bad for you, but it seems like EVERYTHING'S bad for you, so I'm not going to worry about it.
-
When I asked my doctor about this, he said nothing should go in the ear canal that is smaller than your elbow wrapped in a bath towel. A friend of mine ended up in emergency room when the end of a Q tip came off and got stuck in her ear; The doc removing it said it is very common.
-
Me! Rigt here! Damn!
-
Oh yeah me! Every time I wash my hair or get out of the shower. I don't feel right if I dont use them.
-
I use Qtips every morning. I soak each end with alcohol. I use Qtips to clean the inside of each ear, before i insert my hearing aids. I am part Cherokee Indian and we tend to have oily skin. the Qtip and alcohol takes care of this problem. For years, i have gone through this procedure and the Qtips have had no adverse effect on my hearing or ears in general. I say Ba Humbug to the warnings. I would never use a Qtip on an infant.
-
I do whenever my ear itches inside, because when I stick my finger inside it to itch it, it never stops itching.
-
Yeah... I bet they put the warning labels on only because they don't want to get sued. Why use a Q-Tip only for the outer ear? Its design prac
-
I do, because I see no better way to clean out my ears. I use them each time I get out of the shower. But I make sure not to get the q-tip too deep into my ear. That is where a problem can be, & hurt the ear.
-
Not only do I use Q-tips inside my ears, I use them inside my baby's ears. I just use common sense to protect the inner workings of our ears. On the baby, I don't clean far in at all, but if I don't clean it, she gets a buildup of wax in there and the doctor has to clean it out.
-
I use q-tips BUT I do not put it down in the canal of my ears ... got to protect what hearing I have left ... +5
-
I use them in my ear canals...just have to be careful and seated somewhere where there is no possibility you will fall or be startled. I also usually only use it after a shower when my ears are wet. Otherwise, I've read you actually don't have to clean your ear canals - the body handles that for you.
-
Not me. My dad made me clean out my ears with one every two weeks when I was a kid. I just assumed that everybody cleaned their ears like that. Then in high school, I asked my science teacher about why they make you want to cough when you use them, and he chuckled at the question. "Well, *some* people clean their ears..." he began. I never realized how unusual it was until then. Ever since, I haven't used them.
-
I do occasionally. More often, I pour a little rubbing alcohol in there, let it sit for a minute, pour it out, then wipe my ear with a washcloth. I think it does a little better job.
-
I do, but I wear a helmet.
-
I do, I just use common sense when doing it. I stopped taking most warnings seriously when I read things like this: Do not iron clothes while on the body. Remove child from stroller before folding. Do not use intimately. (on tube of deodorant) Do not use as ear plugs. (on silly putty) And my all time favorite: Warning: Riders of personal watercraft may suffer injury due to the forceful injection of water into body cavities either by falling into the water or while mounting the craft." (In the manual for a jetski.)
-
I do...how else am I going to get those voices in my head to be quiet......But seriously....Guilty as charged...every time after I get out of the shower.
-
I thought that was what q-tips were for... like the "novelties" that tell you not to use them the way you'd expect.
-
Yep, I do.
-
I do, but I don't use it too far into my ear, thats when you can run into trouble.
-
Guilty as charged. I figure it's lot safer than having wax and/or water impair my hearing and prevent me from hearing a bus and me getting knocked over.
