Help answer this question below.

I am an american citizen my fiance wll be vising canada on a tourist visa..can i marry her in canada will it be recognized in US and how will i be able to get her here in US

    yeah but you have to apply her in US to enter legally,even ur both married somewhere else

    one more thing...does she need to go back to the philippines in order for me to petition her or is there a way that from canada she'll be able to enter here in the US?

    You could marry her in Canada depending on the laws of the province you hope to get married in. In general, legitimate marriages overseas are considered to be legitimate within the US.

    Recognition of the marriage in the US depends where she is from. You should apply for a visa for your wife-to-be. The rules will differ according to your circumstances. However, you will need to show that you could support your household at 125% of the poverty level for your household size.

    Prior to your marriage,, you should contact your local uSCIS or their toll-free number on 1-800-375-5283 or the US Embassy in Canada for advice on the documents you will need for your circumstances.
