Yes! when I was 13 ... I was riding my MX bike down the road with a couple of buddies, we were spotted and chased by a Highway patrol car ... we headed for the dirt road which was less than a 1 mile away and headed bush ... once on the dirt tracks we were free ... lol

Twice, and got a way both times. The first time was in the town next to where I grew up. We were setting off fireworks (Illegal in Maine) and the cops showed up so I took off down a "dead end" road and kicked it in 4-wheel drive once I was at the end. They didn't bother chasing me. The second time was on the highway, I drove by a cop radar trap going 95 or so. I looked back and saw him flick on his lights so I stepped on it because I knew the exit was only a mile and a half away and hit the exit ramp going 140 in a Volvo T5. By the time I got off the highway and hit a few back roads, the cop was as good as toast. The key is to know where you are if you plan on breaking the law and know where the safe zones are. If you aren't close enough, don't bother, they'll probably catch you and it aint worth it.
