  • Thats great. I have one that runs under my driveway. Hows the Mosquito's? Mine is far enough away from my house that I dont notice them.
  • No I don't but that's one of the things I'd like to have one day. :-)
  • I have a small lake in the middle of my farm, Cotton. Throughout the year migratory birds come here. I planted a few neem trees around this lake some 20 years back. Now the Siberian cranes and flemingos that come here in winter build their nests, lay their and leave only when their little ones are capable of flying back to Siberia by April. I have some extra expenses to stock the lake with live fish, but I don't mind that. There is a tiny stream which has water only when it rains. This stream keeps the lake full. But except for planting neem trees I haven't done any decorative work the way you did. But the birds like natural looking lakes, thats my problem.
  • With all the rain we have had this year the water has not drained off the property, where there are low spots there has been water laying, only stream we really have is at the boarder of the property and it is abundant with wetland prairie plantings, The land surrounding us(The Nature Conservancy)removed the drainage tiles from the fields and we now have a huge bog-like lake full of wildlife,,it really is nice.
  • Not now but when I was a kid we had a creek running through behind our house. We used to fish and catch frogs, snakes, turtles, etc. Good times.
  • never had the pleasure
  • Less and sometimes it's really a raging stream. Our driveway goes over it and beyond it there's the beaver dam, with ever growing pond. It's such a beautiful stream, though, with ferns, lady slippers and other wonderful plants all around it.
