  • There's no difference. I don't hear them called 'soda crackers' often though, the term might be regional or it might be falling into disuse. Saltine just sounds better imo.

  • A soda cracker has no salt. A "saltine" (originally called a "saltina soda cracker" has salt on it. Soda cracker = no salt. Saltina = soda cracker with salt.
