  • Pull her aside or ask her if she wants to get a cup of coffee with you. I would approach it this way. "I've sensed a little tension between us and I just wanted to find out if there was something I did that upset you." Try to keep the conversion non-confrontational and don't start in with the "you do this and you do that". Hopefully she'll open up to you, you'll have a chance to explain everyting, and if all goes well - problem solved. If not (dealing with bullies 101) - you'll have to step it up a notch. When she acts this way, confront her as she's doing it. If she's giving you dirty looks, look her straight in the eye and ask her if everything is ok - you noticed she is looking a little upset. If she starts making comments, repeat the comment back to her and ask her what she means by it (and look dumbfounded). I've found that nothing shuts a bully down faster (usually) than calling them out. If THAT doesn't work, speak to your supervisor. Remember throughout all of these steps, don't be the instigator so she doesn't have any ammo to use against you. Good luck.
