Why doesn't the US get tough on Israel with the settlement issues in the West Bank?

There's a very VERY strong lobby group within the US. They are made up of Israeli expats, Jews, as well as right-wing Christian groups - many of whom are more anti-Muslim than pro-Jew. Together, they pretty much dictate US foreign policy in matters concerning Israel and Palestine. In an ideal situation, the US would make its aid to Israel conditional on Israel moving towards a peaceful two-state solution. In truth, Israel has long since learned that they can do what they want because the US will invariably veto any UN resolutions against it, and will continue to fund it no matter what. This is not something that will change overnight.

because it is a JEWISH problem among JEWS...it would be like telling the muslim sects how to TREAT muslim brothers....it is within a JEWISH NATION...religious..and within ISRAEL/Jews...if Jewish wars toward each other do not involve HARM to others UNIVERSALLY/Nation wise...they should not get involved...its like SAMARITANS against PHARISEES...ununited in their Faith ...but if a Christain/christian nation, Muslim/muslim nation/ ,or any other faith/nation, threathens or tries to take possession of Israel...then this would not be a religious concern but an UNJUST, inhumane action... the US is allys with all Israel.we do try to help them resolve issues among themselves,but no one can dictate to them....the peace Israel needs is among themselves....and only they can bring that..even though the Bible says it will never be...Jews have been fighting amongst themselves even in Bibilical days of OLD..... those west bank settlements are a Jewish issue....and should be settled among Jews.... it would be like Iraq trying to tell us how to settle our HOMELAND SECURITY issues...;)metaphorically speaking...
