This is based on what type of snake you mean. Food wise, for a small to medium snake: pinkies, fuzzies and feeder mice cost about $1.50 each. This is making sure your snake eats 1-2 (depending on size) every two weeks. Larger snakes need fed once a month, usually adult mice. Besides the basic heat lamp, water bowl, substrate and tank with decorations (at a one time fee), this is it. The tanks can cost from $40-$75, depending on size. Lamps will run you about $25-$35, and the bulbs are about $10. So to start out and get a set up without the sanke is around $125. Then upkeep of lights, mice and water. Hope some of this helps, good luck.

Keeping a snake, not much. Maybe $150. for a good set up. Not getting bitten if it is poisoness .......... priceless.

not too bad. aside from the set-up, they need to have bedding changed. i pack of aspen bedding is about $12. if it is a small snake, maybe $10-15 a month. larger ones are $15-20 a month. not bad at all.
