No. I don't see them as abilities. I am more concerned with maintaining the quality of my answers than the number of points I can distribute.

With power comes responsibility. How you use it reflects your personality and character. So, I take rating someone up seriously. And I take rating an answer down very, very, very seriously. But you never lose points, once awarded from your total, so I urge folks not to worry too much about a few bad ratings. It just moves your answer up or down the page a bit and may effect your positive ratings, but overall, nothing to lose sleep about. In the long run, if you only use your POWER for good, you'll make more friends, help them advance, and just sleep better!
