  • There is not too much you can do until he can be served to appear in court .... IN "Some" jurisdictions ; you could sue him and have the court run ads in the paper saying he was beiing sued ... that would suffice as his notice. Then; you could go to court and get a judgement ... IF he ever returned to the states; you'd could then collect your judgement . Check with your local Clerk of Courts ...

  • You are screwed just like me , sorry to say not much u can do At least u were smart enough to write the letter I gave a very special person and amount that I borrowed from someone else and he's gone with no will to return and I obviously don't have the money to pay back . It's a cruel cruel world :(
  • Depending on how much it is, the best you can do is spend some more time and money trying to get a judgement. If he ever gets any real property, like a car or a boat or something with equity in it, you will have a hard time collecting. Most homesteads are protected from judgements. Good luck though, I been there and it sux!
