Because it is inspirational to think someone would go to such lengths for what they believe in.

Because they supposedly DIED for a reason or cause generally of the religous / political nature and is generally a cause of some outside influence that wants something you have and martyrdom is simply the window dressing or in modern terms the "SPIN" of an aguement that has reached an impasses but are going to try and convince you otherwise generally with more and more martyr's from both sides of a polarized arguement while the facts are that none who are involved are the one's that actually pay the price because they are 2 seperate groups that are fighting over what does not belong to them in the first place in a place that neither belongs and it is the neurtral parties that loose there houses and homes and wealth while these 2 groups fight over your stuff and both sides trying to convince you that it is all for your benefit and you need to take side in the insanity that they created ... . . .. I know I know , I'm a long winded bastard .... ~Nemo~
