If you haven’t rebooted in a while, do it. Your clip board my be full. There are ways and programs to do this but that’s the easiest.
And if you haven’t done a disk clean and a defrag in a while, do so. The program may have become fragmented enough to where it can’t keep up with what you are trying to do.
Barring all that, something may have been corrupted and the best thing to do would be re-install.
it says "The information you copied exceeds the limit for pasting into the word processor. Try reducing the size of your selection, then copy and paste again". it has never done this before and it wont let me copy and paste from anywhere. not even from things i have already typed into the page. i tested trying to copy and paste just one letter and it still doesnt let me.

You're reading I have Microsoft Works 8.5 and when using the word processor t wont let me copy and paste anymore. Not even one letter. Why? More about it on first answer.

i did everything but it still says that..i cant reinstall tho cause it came with my computer when i bought it so i dont have a way to reinstall

I don’t know what version number Works is on, but you can try to get updates, that may fix it.
As an alternative you can d/l Open Office.
