  • If they didn't then they'd not have quite so many terrorists to scare us with their fear mongering tactics. Got ammo?
  • Because republican politicians know they're creating terrorists and that gives them talking points for votes. . And the republican voters because they honestly believe that what they're doing is right.
  • because the no common sense ones, seem to think if we don't interrogate, terrorists will stop recruiting...ha,ha..imagine that!!! they've been recruiting long before and it will continue...and no matter...it does save lives....it has for all who use it, enemies too... this is stupid, u just have an EXTREME desire to recruit your supporters, and any untruth goes..and another stupidity, u act like Cheney solely made up terrogation tactics and policies..we have always had them, just have never had the "terrorists invasions ,cells" here til present day...BROADEN YOUR THINKING ABILITIES....:0Justme
  • Because they mistakenly believe the opposite
  • Its the right that wants to use tactics that would further prevent any terrorist recruitments/training/attacks. Its the right that says yes to protecting America and the American people (even you goofy leftsters) while its the left who has more concern over what the terrorist "think" about them and how they wouldnt want to "offend" the bad guys and actually think they should have our constitutional rights. I dunno what planet you fell off but you are very confused.
  • They don't mean to. But after 9-11, when Democrats were trying to look at figuring out how the terrorists think and how they recruit, Karl Rove accused us of wanting to have a group hug and therapy session. Frankly, we just figured the better we understood them the easier it would be to find them and shoot them, or at least dry up their recruiting pool. That would have taken fewer guns and less money, though, which isn't nearly as cool, and besides, Karl needed a sound bite.
  • They recruited just fine until the Iraq War. I've yet to read a "suicide bomber wanted" ad on amman.craigslist.org. The Muslim extremists are still pissed about the Crusades. I don't think we can do much, short of converting to Islam, that won't piss them off. There is no negative correlation to this argument. A lack of a war in Iraq does not mean there would be fewer terrorists or terrorist attacks. We are in the Middle East for oil. No doubt. The world runs on it. I wouldn't mind if any other western democracy wants to take over the job of fighting for everyone else's oil.
  • Because the scare that THEY create gets them in office. They create a scare, and intensify the fear with their own policies. Those that are easily scared buy into their promises of protection from a threat that shouldn't exist.
