Back when the Constittion was created, this was a good ruling. Now? Holy Moly. With all the blithering idiots running around professing they have a right to own and operate a gun it's a real disaster.

I find that the most common misconception is that we somehow condone gun violence by opposing gun control. In reality, gun control has been a failure. Can anyone really link any particular piece of gun legislation to lower crime rates? I sure can't. It's not a "gun" problem, it's a societal problem. Not only that, gun enthusiasts and gun rights organizations are the biggest advocates of gun safety. We oppose weakening the second amendment for three main reasons: 1. We don't believe that there is any law that will stop criminals from obtaining guns. It will be the average citizen that gets punished. If we can't stop drugs and illegal immigrants from crossing our borders, how will we stop guns? 2. We believe in the absolute right to self and home defense. 3. We believe the second amendment was meant to protect against tyranny in government. Allowing the government to weaken that right defeats the purpose.
