Relationships...arguments that never happened or didn't impact in a major way causes some people to try to fix things that aren't broken
My father had this habit of periodically removing all nuts and bolts and re-fixing them again. Same with screws.
His was a good practice in that The nuts and bots and screws always remained free and never were stuck when we needed to remove them in a hurry.
He used to call it preventive maintanance.

She was OBSESSED with "fixing" things. She "fixed" all three faucets by stripping the handles, she "fixed" The doorways by ripping the weather strip out and taking apart the deadbolts. She "fixed" the pantry door by ripping it off the wall. She "fixed" the water dispenser on the refrigerator by breaking the lever. She "fixed" the window on the Jeep by taking the door apart with a butter knife...
Does anyone know how to change a clutch cable on a '96 VW Golf? I know I'm supposed to attach one end to the pedal, but can't get to it.

Tenant lost apartment mailbox key, can I change the lock myself? Mailman has key to main access door, but not individual box keys.
