My wife says it's ok to wash your butt in the shower but it's nasty to brush your teeth in it. I'm I in crazy land here?

As long as you arent scrubbing your butt with your toothbrush first Id say you are okay. I have one toothbrush for my butt and one for my teeth- so I dont get confused.

Listen, I urinate in the shower, I bet your wife would have heart failure over that. As long as you don't leave your toothbrush on the soap dish, it sound perfectly reasonable to me. Some men shave in the shower, sing in the shower, it's a free country. I think you need to find another wife.

I brush my teeth in the shower every day, it saves me time since I brush them while im waiting for the conditioner to "do its magic". As long as you keep your toothbrush where it isnt in danger of falling to the shower floor I dont see anything wrong with it. Besides whats the difference with brushing them in the shower or a few feet away at the sink?

I am a wife and I wouldn't care if my husband brushed his teeth in the shower. I don't have a shower in my house; but, I have tried to instill a sense of grossness in my son who keeps putting the bath water in his mouth. It doesn't work though. He doesn't seem to care that he is putting butt water in his mouth.

I had no problems with whatever my ex-husband chose to do in the shower. Let alone brushing teeth. As long as you're brushing your teeth, knock yourself out. Just don't knock yourself out by slipping and falling. Great question, by the way.

I don't see what's wrong with it... I brush my teeth with hot water, I've yet to do it in the shower but that's just not how my routine goes. I urinate (not in the shower), shower--> hair first, face, body, rinse, dry, then comes the deodorant, hair gel, comb hair, brush teeth, then shave... in that order everyday. There are much worse things you could be doing in the shower than brushing your teeth...

There's nothing wrong with it. I just prefer not to because I don't like using hot water to brush my teeth, and I never have anywhere good to put the brush when I'm done. (And, for some reason, spitting in the shower seems odd...) But there's nothing wrong with it, my boyfriend always brushes his teeth in there.

If toothpaste is not washed away at once it dries like very hard cement and will not only make cleaning the shower much harder but could block the drain. Hopefully your butt is not so dirty it is going to block the drain

Many people do both in the shower and a whole lot more. Wash one end, wash the other end, that what a shower is all about. It all goes down the drain.

There are some anti-fogging mirrors designed to accommodate a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, soap and shampoo. You can do all that while in the shower, standing straight. It may save your back because to do all that in the sink requires bending, so it is more comfortable in the shower. One of my uncles, an orthopedic surgeon recommended me one. I think I will get one sometime and try to see if I get used to it.

I brush my teeth in the shower. Its so much easier than bending down to wash off the drool at the sink. Plus I don't have the "overspray" to clean off the sink. It all washes down the shower drain!

I kind of wish I could train my man to brush his teeth in the shower. The sink would be neater without that lovely toothpaste coating it gets. Then again, I like his untamed qualities (hopes he does not read this).

I brush my teeth in the shower. It's a total time saver! I can see if your wife is concerned with you accidentaly grabbing your toothbrush in an early morning stooper & washing your bum with it instead of brushing your teeth. There's worse things a person could be doing!

I say that brushing your teeth in the shower is just fine. What bothers me is when people would rather take baths than showers. Does it make sense to sit your filthy ass down in a tub full of water... then use that water to wash off your face and the rest of your body??? hmmmm

As long as a person isn't using their butt cheeks as a toothbrush holder, I don't see any problem with brushing our teeth in the shower.

I have never brushed my teeth in the shower, but I see NO DIFFERENCE! It all washes down the drain, and you still have to clean the tub!

I agree with your wife...I think it is kind of gross. It just seems like there is a lot of bacteria in a place like the shower (you wash your butt in there for christ sake!) and there is water splashing/spraying all around. I just think there is a larger risk for cross contamination.

I've done it before when I was really strapped for time, it really makes no difference other than the fact that it is completely and totally nasty.

i never used to... but i do now. our bathjroom sink has been broken for 6 months, and if i dont do it in the shower the only other choice i have is the toliet..... so shower it is! your not in crazy land at all

My husbad is a bursh your teeth in the shower kind of guy. Or, he was before I told him that it was just not right to do that.

Not at all! I brush my teeth in the shower, I find it more time efficient instead of taking a shower, getting out, wrap yourself wet around a towel, brush your teeth while you are soaking wet still, etc.. Just brush your teeth in the shower.
