Best party theme you ever heard/thought of?

The best kids party theme we had was a space theme. We used a ton of tin foil making rocket ship shapes to hang from the ceiling, we had space theme games and food and the kids all came in fancy dress - one kid came as a rocket! It was brilliant and they talked about it for a long time afterward. A friend recently had a birthday with a "purple" theme, some guests dressed in purple or just wore a purple necklace etc.,there were purple decorations etc. The theme was based around the poem "when I grow old, I shall wear purple.." It was a fun evening.

it was the coloured theme. my fiend said that she went to a party a few months back and they had to dres sup in multicoloured bright clothing, the colours blue red, green, black and white. By the end of the evening you had to be wearing items of the same colour. She said she picked up some really cool stuff as she was able to take the stuff away at the end of the night!
