  • Dress nicely and act confident. That's all I can say.
  • People who go to spas are health-oriented. Look healthy! No evidence of smoking. Nails and cuticles neat. Dress to look comfortable but classy.
  • Act/BE confident. Tell them you will be an asset to their team and you are a people person.
  • I have gotten every job I have ever applied/been interviewed for. (It's been a LOT) Make sure to look professional. No jeans, just to be safe. A salon, especially... they're all about looking good so their employees need to look good. Smile! Be honest, and friendly. You shouldn't have to TELL someone you're a people person; it should be obvious. Don't be shy about anything. Speak up! You'll be answering phones; they want to know you have a strong personality even over the phone. You need to convince them that YOU and only you are perfect for this job. You may be competing against other people for it, so you need to blow them away. Point out the things you like about the place, and good qualities you have. Be prepared to answer the question: Are there things you have trouble with/ have a hard time with, etc. Be honest. No one has zero issues in the workplace. I always say that it really annoys me when other people aren't doing their jobs, so I always try to make up for their lost work, and sometimes it ends up just costing me. Show that you want it. Make them know that they need you.
  • Have you done any research about the company? Do they have a web-site, are they a chain-you're looking for corporate values/mission statement kind of stuff. Do a little bit of reseach-not just Google, try the local newspaper's web site. Be energetic/animated-in a mellow kind of way. You want the guests to get good vibes. Ask open ended questions: "What kind of image are we trying to present?" as opposed to "do you have dental".
