  • I think it's misguided to try to do it quickly. Find something you're interested in, and get good at it. (Bicycling and Tae Kwon Do worked for me.) Also, take active steps to release your negative self-image. Take 5 minutes each and every evening to see yourself as happy, beautiful in the ways that are lasting and important, and surrounded by friends. Guard your thoughts, and when you think negative thoughts about yourself (or others), stop thinking them and replace them with good thoughts about yourself. Good luck!

  • Realize that you are who you are because of your thoughts about yourself which creates your self image.Much of what you think of yourself could have been created by others and might be distorted.Be accepting of who you are now and take small steps,at first,to slowly change into whom you want to be.Read books and biographies on people you admired and follow the steps they took to get where they wanted to be as a person.
