Whats wrong with normal names like ann,mark,sean why people trying to copy celebrities with stupid names for there kids.its unfair on kids mite get slagged or bullied in school

Well, I have noticed some people like unusual or uncommon names. Some of the names celebrities name their kids are horrid-like Apple or Denim, or Lordous. Yuck. I only ask so many name q's because I like nomenology-the study of names. I love to read what names mean. I wouldn't want to name my baby something he or she might get bullied for. I love the name Demitri, but wouldn't name my child that. I know what you mean.

i couldnt agree w you more, people name their kids such odd names just to make them unique not knowing their child is already unique. at this rate mikes and bobs will be obscure. nothing is worse then giving someone a name but spelling it differently.

I don't mind people picking unusual names for their children if they also happen to be attractive names, but I hate when people pick names purely to be different, and the child has to spend the rest of their lives living it down.
