Yes, it makes great patterns for things by just pressing it down. I've used foil to find the right wrench size for something that can't be moved - just press down, and carry the foil to the tool chest.

I've seen people use foil to keep the sun out of the windows...don't know why foil...it's a heat conductor !!!

It is great for scrubbing rust off of metal. You just ball up the foil (shiny part of it out) and rub! It really works.
