  • No. The theory behind the year 2012 is due to interpretations of predictions contained in the Mayan calendar. It's just a meshing of conspiracy theories. http://www.2012endofdays.org/general/Predictions-for-2012.php
  • The idea of any order in the world at all sounds kind of appealing from time to time. But I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for it if I were you. And I'd keep contributing to my IRA and 401(k) just on the off chance that things keep going pretty much the disordered way they always have.
  • The funny thing is that a conspiracy theory in no way represents the definition of a theory. Nothing of incredible significance will occur in 2012 short of the usual string of elections, bombings, wars, murders, births, deaths, and Oscars. Something large might happen that year that may seem significant for a while, but will have no major long term direct effect. I've never heard of your specific claim that somehow some group called that new world order is going to seize power because some Mayans suggested that was a really good idea, but I'm sure those people predicting it will change their prediction when it becomes apparent nothing has actually happened. I'd guess these people would claim something like "the NWO did take over on Dec 21, 2012, they just keep it secret but they control it all, man."
