There is a removable diagram card inside the fuse box not in the manual at least in our 2003 golf. However the diagram is in international pictures & there are 3 & 4 of the same picture. I called the dealer they had to go into their repair manual on line to Germany to understand the pictures & which fuse locations were which & in our case there are 5 fuse locations listed for the same function. Therefore, you have to pull every fuse to find out which one has blown. This is not the norm.

Your owners manual will have a list and/or diagram listing where the fuses are, what they do, and what kind to get to replace them. If you want, you can sign up for alldata (www.alldata.com) and that will give you a lot of info for your vehicle.
