  • It's spelt "grammar", not "grammer"... Sorry, old joke already, but I couldn't resist.
  • I think so. Unless they repetitively mess up. Even then, it's still a bit rude.
  • Yes, and trust me I've learned from experience no one likes it. You can correct my spelling if you wish cause I know I can't spell very well and I won't be offended but if you start to imply that I am somehow of lower intelligence because of my bad spelling that is offensive. But trust me going from college out into the real world I've had to get used to phrases such as "I seen him"
  • Well, judge for yourself..is it rude for me to point out that you misspelled grammar in your question? Lol...I think it depends on who you're talking to, if it's a friend or family member, then no, you'd be doing them a favor by pointing out their error, but if it's a colleague or boss or teacher then you should probably keep it to yourself and just chuckle about it later :)
  • I have no idea how you can correct anyone's spelling during a conversation. Care to explain?
  • I think it is rude to do it unless you're in some school but kids just want to stop learning instead of fealing lke they're still there
  • Some people can be spelling and grammar Nazi's, but, I'm of the firm opinion that - while it might be wrong - people judge our intelligence on not only how well we speak, but how well we spell, and our ability to put a sentence together. If someone was genuinely trying to help me, I wouldn't be offended. If they were doing it to be nasty, then I'd do some personal reading/learning and beat them at their own game.
  • Unless I knew the person really ( one of my nephews or neices) well, I would certainly not have the temerity to correct a persons grammar and certainly not in public. It would be gross bad manners
