  • Not according to the God in the bible.
  • I don't believe in creation but I don't prejudge the intelligence of those that do. From what I've seen of your posts, I know that you're an intelligent person so my answer is no. Unlike some other religious members and some atheists, you don't seem to be at all pushy or judgmental in your posts. :)
  • Absolutely not, I do too. Thank God we do! :)
  • no. that makes you a person who values faith over science. That does not make you any more or less intelligent. If you feel that the bible, or any other holy book is "proof" of that creation, I would say you are starting to cross the line towards half-witdom. nothing inherently wrong with believing that your book and beliefs are true, as long as you keep it in the perspective that things specifically tied to your personal faith are not proof or scientific in any way.
  • It makes you a creationist.
  • I disagree 100%, but respect your right to believe as you wish.
  • As long as you don't think it's true and just believe instead.
  • No, your belief in creation doesn't make you a half wit. You have the right to believe what ever you want. Intellect really has nothing to do with it. Personally, I believe in both creation and evolution.
  • I dont think it makes you a half wit but the book of genisis is not supposed to be taken literally.
  • You are not a wit.
  • Nope it makes you a believer of myth.
  • Not in the least. I would say it shows your human with your own pov. If we all thought the same, I believe this would be a boring world.
  • Nope. That makes you a complete nimb wit
  • Yeah pretty much.
  • No, not at all. You believe in something, and just because your belief differs from that of others doesn't mean that you're any more or less intelligent. I think there is always going to be a battle between believers and non-believers, but that battle can be amicable.
  • You're in good company. President Obama is a Christian and he's no half-wit.
  • Not at all. I believe in creation, and in the literal interpretation of the Bible, and I am not a half wit. I argue that I am a rather full wit. :)
  • Not a bit of it.
  • Half-wit usually indicates stupidity. Stupidity is a poor ability to learn. So, while you seem to be able to learn what the Bible teaches, I would definitely challenge your ability to think logically and process what you experience. The problem with most creationists is not a lack of learning ability, but an unwillingness to accept what their senses are telling them. This may sometimes lead to cognitive dissonance, where your psyche struggles with the conflict of one's knowledge with one's beliefs.
  • I don't believe it lowers your intelligence, however it does lower my disposition towards you. I consider myself a pretty open-minded person, but for the life of me I can't understand how someone could possibly believe in creationism. sorry :( P.S. I bet you are actually a fairly intelligent person.
  • No. You can believe what you want. But if you wanted to teach that Creation was a fact, then you'd be required to prove it.
  • you as a person ... no!, your beliefs I would say delusional
  • It's a good start.
  • I'd be happy to explain. Something can evolve without being created by a supernatural being or an ordinary being. The universe and the earth, itself, is an example of this. There is much scientific evidence of evolution on earth. There is absolutely no testable evidence, whatsoever, to prove the existence of any supernatural deity and absolutely no testable evidence, whatsoever, to prove that a supernatural deity created the universe or the earth. The belief that such a creator exists and created the earth is based solely on faith. Faith is not fact. Fact requires testable evidence. I imagine that your next argument will be that the universe had to evolve from something. Even if that is so, it in no way proves the existence of a creator. If you wish to dispute that, I invite you to cite the TESTABLE EVIDENCE proving that a supernatural deity exists. If you can do that, we can move on to the part where you present TESTABLE EVIDENCE that this supernatural deity created the universe.
  • I wrote a detailed answer to your question, but it didn't post. I'll try again. There is testable evidence of evolution. There is zero evidence of creation. If you want to discuss the creation of the Universe or earth, you will first have to prove that a supernatural deity exists before proving that the supernatural deity created anything. Can you present testable evidence proving the existence of a supernatural deity? By the way, believe is not testable evidence. I can believe that Dinglesnork created the universe, but until I can first prove by citing testable evidence that Dinglesnork exists and then prove by testable evidence that Dinglesnork created the Universe, I don't have a leg to stand on. Feel free to cite the testable evidence proving the existing of the creator of the Universe.
  • Nope, only if you insisted other people did.
  • Yes it does. And this is comming from a religious catholic. The bible cannot always be taken at face value, as many parts are written figuratively, or metaphorically, thats what the creation myth is. I think catholics are the only christians out there who dont subscribe to a literal interpretation of creation, and actually listen to science.
  • +5 No, that makes you believe the truth. I am so sorry for those who think we came from monkeys. God bless you
  • Karen, because i actually like you I'll just say a quarter wit.. Is that OK? Hey look, I make my own cigarettes so i create them all day long. But bible creation.. no way.. Logic..try it Karen.. it might actually enlighten you a bit. I find it sad that someone was able to poison your thoughts like that, but you chose your destiny in this world. You make your bed then sleep in it. I just hope you're not to disappointed when you die and just rot in the ground for a billion years with absolutely no results for a life time of believing what isn't real. Good luck though.
  • i do too
  • Not to many but the damned.
  • I've been asked to explain why something doesn't need to be created in order to exist. Uh..because there is zero testable evidence proving that a creator exists, let alone created anything. If you have testable evidence proving that a creator exists and created the universe, please share it with us, but remember, belief is not testable evidence.
  • There is no evidence, whatsoever, that the Universe or Earth were "created". If you can present any testable evidence proving that a supernatural Creator exists and that this supernatural Creator created the Universe or Earth, let's hear it.
  • No! But it sounds like you are not too bright...so may be a dimwit!
  • You have every right to believe what you want to believe. Some people are trying to say that if science can't prove it then it can't be. Some see evidence of evolution, others see evidence of God. We can't measure life for instance, yet we know it exists. We can see people who are alive and we see them when they are dead. Where did the life force go? Did it exist or not? We can't see it, touch it, or find it, let alone measure or test it. It's no longer there as far as our human senses are able to detect. If we need a test to prove anything and everything, then we can stop believing in everything, including evolution, because tests have failed to prove that life as we know it can just all of a sudden happen out of nowhere. And there are many other things science can't test and prove. If something makes reasonable sense to you, you should not let arrogant people make you feel dumb. It really shows how self absorbed and closed minded someone is when they do that to someone else. Why would someone not want to have hope that there is something for them beyond this temporary and minute life? Thanks for the question. Believe what you believe, but don't be closed minded.
  • mythology is healthy when seen within it's context but myth is myth nonetheless
  • No. Sorry to disappoint.
  • Only to those who are not. "One half of the world laughs at the other half. Neither one realizing how both are right in doing so." Balthasar Gracian.
  • not at all - what you wish to believe in that matter is strictly your own affair and I respect your feelings on the subject.
  • yes, you are a half wit. but then God likes half wits.
  • No. It makes you someone who has a different opinion than me:)
  • YES.....get over it!
  • more like gullible!
  • Personally i believe no. I dont believe in entire creation so im not biased. But i think believing that there is something more, even life after death can give you hope and meaning. I see religion as a way to give hope to people that need it. My uncle recentaly died and theres a part of me that is given hope by the thought that he is somewhere better; rather than just buried 6 feet underneath the eaths soil.
  • I've reached the point where I have zero tolerance for scientific illiterates.
  • If you are a creationist I don't think it automatically makes you stupid; but I think that you are uneducated and need to go to school and take some biology, geography and astronomy classes.
  • Not at all...If we can do what we have done with stem cell and we know what we know about DNA and we alter things the way we alter things. Why would it be erronous to hypothesis we are the experiment of another entity?
  • no if u are a christian u shouldnt care what others think of you think of God what he thinks of you
  • I believe in Santa Claus
  • No, it makes you someone who has chosen to follow the path of irrationality.
  • I would say that it means that you cannot believe the fairy tale of ET (evolution). The idea that the magic of carbon dating proves that the universe is a series of random accidents or mutations is the height of arrogance. I heard that the dating process underwent "refinement" a while back, changing the process from millions of years to billions. As a carpenter, that's like changing inches into feet - whoops! What science asks us to believe is that billions of years ago, a chip of granite fell into a pool of acid and was simultaneously struck by lightning to produce the very first living cell. My question is - How many trillions of times would that "miracle" have to happen before the first living cell accidently had the ability to reproduce itself? That would be the beginning of the fossil record. If I described the evolution of the wheel from the first stone block to the gears in a Swiss watch, I would say that the record testifies to the creators (men)
  • Yes, but that's putting it mildly. It's more like a dim wit.
  • What? Nothing was created? Yes. A different Creation.
