  • If I sit in a Hot Tub or a Jacuzzi I get a migraine from the heat. So I have to avoid them and also too hot of showers will do it too. +5
  • My top preventive rule is don't get into one. The hot water is too hot...I have found it enervating which is what I don't need. Additionally, I don't care how many chemicals are put into the water, I don't know about the hygiene or health of the other individuals who use it and I don't want to play Russian Roulette at my age. I forgo, give up, forswear, abandon, do without a hot tub for the rest of my life and I feel safer for doing so! Happy Monday! :)
  • I can only take them for short periods of time. The only preventative measures I could think of would be to make sure you are well hydrated and turn the heat down a little (if you are able to).
  • Yes, you can prevent being in hot tubs by learning to recognize them. Some are quite stealthily designed to look like other objects, such as kangaroos or nuclear weapons. Google "hot tub", click on "Images", and just memorize as many as you can. Then if someone tries to sneak one of these into your life, you're prepared to respond with a vigorous "no!!". Good luck! :)
  • Oh, dont say that whitehair, my s/o has one and I am dying to jump in, never been in one before, lol
  • I enjoy being in the hottub very much. It did freak me out a bit though when a friend of mine had the bottoms of their feet burnt from being in one too long, he didn't even realize it until after getting out.
  • I've never been in a hot tub and I have no desire to be in one. You are not alone.
  • Then, don't go in
  • Just one, don't go in...
  • I have the constant thought has anyone pee'd in it. I dont like the idea at all
  • I get nauseated when I try to sit in a hot tub. We even got one when we bought our new house. We've lived in it for almost 3 years and I've tried the tub maybe 4-5 times. I do think it is partially mental. I had a history of miscarriage and with the last one, I had gotten into a hot tub not knowing I was pregnant. I lost the baby a few weeks later. I never had a problem with hot tubs before that. I can't get bothered by germs when it is only my family that is in it.
  • I love being in a hot tub. It cant be too hot, really, you have to know what temperatures you can tolerate. I like a hot tub before bed time. or after getting up in the morning. or in the middle of the afternoon. its refreshing. and its clothing optional.
